What counts as an HVAC emergency?

We treat these as real emergencies and dispatch immediately:

  • No heat on a cold night — especially with elderly residents, infants, or pets in the home
  • No cooling during a heat wave — when interior temps are climbing into dangerous range
  • Refrigerant or gas leaks — anything you can smell or that's triggering CO detectors
  • Water leaks from HVAC equipment — flooding a tenant unit or causing property damage
  • Tenant-impacting failures in commercial buildings — restaurants without AC during dinner service, retail without heat during open hours
  • Hospitality or healthcare HVAC failures where guest or patient comfort is critical

What to expect when you call

When you call our emergency line, you talk to a real person, not a queue. We ask what's happening, where the property is, and what kind of equipment is involved. Within minutes we route the closest technician to you and give you a realistic ETA. While the tech is en route, we'll often walk you through anything safe to check or shut off on your end.

Typical response times

Across our service area we aim for under 2 hours for true emergencies in the LA basin, under 3 hours for outlying areas (Simi Valley, San Bernardino, San Diego). Existing maintenance clients get top priority — one more reason to be on a service agreement.

What we'll do on arrival

Diagnose the failure, get you a written cost estimate before any repair work begins, and either fix it on the spot (most of the time — we carry common parts on the truck) or get you a temporary solution while we order anything we don't have. The goal is always to get you operational fastest, not to maximize the invoice.

Honest pricing on emergency work

We charge a fair emergency dispatch rate for after-hours response — not a punitive one. We tell you the rate up front when you call. Existing maintenance clients get reduced emergency rates as part of their service agreement.
